Emotions. Emotions are a funny thing aren’t they?
Some are fun, some are filled with happiness, some surprise us, some make us sad, some are filled with fear, some are filled with joy, love and abundance. Emotions are real.
They become very real for us when we are feeling them. Good and bad.
Emotions are a part of us. They play a huge part in our life. We should feel them, we should enjoy them, and some emotions we should let go of them, - let them fly away, - so to speak.
It is healthy to feel. It is healthy to be aware of our emotions and what they are saying. Listen to yourself. Take the time for yourself.
I love talking about all the wonderful emotions we have to feel, but today’s blog is to take a moment and talk about the emotions you may not be allowing yourself to feel, the emotions you may tuck under the rug. Actually, those can be very healthy emotions too, - but for them to be healthy, you must take the time to feel them and deal with them. Again, take the time for you! This is important to think about and act on.
Find a nice spot in your home for YOU. A comfy chair, a cozy blanket, a cup of tea, and maybe a journal for you to release those emotions into. A glass decorative jar can work too. Write down the “let go of” emotions and let go of them by putting them into your jar, box or envelope. As you take care of you, replace every negative emotion you put in the jar with a good emotional thought!
I just recently experienced this for myself. I had delayed emotions on a situation in my life. When the emotions hit me, I was actually shocked. I thought I had the situation “covered” by good emotions, good feelings, etc. What I had, was emotions that came up and I had not dealt with them, nor had I let go of them. I needed to be real, I needed to feel these emotions and let go of them. I sat down and let go… I laughed, I cried, I felt, I dealt, and I did all that because good health is for me! I want to be in good health, both physically and mentally. We don’t need to be saddled down with bad emotions. We don’t need to carry the weight of the world on us. We have a big God to do all that for us. Give your journal or your little glass jar to God, and let Him take care of it.
First step… take care of you. Next step, be honest and feel those emotions. Third step, release them and give them to who can take care of all things… let it go and let God!
Get healthy... and receive good emotional health, too. Walk in your good health, take care of it. Go ahead and let go!
