Praying Positive

February 4, 2020

I recently received a golden nugget on prayer and would love to share it with you.

I was praying about a big need and I was shown in a beautiful way that we should not focus on the bad in the situation, but we should focus on the one who can do something about it.

Positive; - stated, confident in opinion or assertion, fully assured, determined, hopeful, to the good.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil 4:8

Yes, think on these things. This scripture is so good on what we should think on when we pray. We should be positive and focus on Him. As we pray for a need focus on Him, don't focus on the negative, focus on the one who can take care of the need. The Lord knows the need before we do, bring it to him and then start the praise of who He is and what He can do. Positive Prayer!

As we pray say positive words and think positive. If someone we know or ourselves, have financial problems, then speak prosperity, wisdom, guidance, don't go on speaking the problem. Speak wisdom and peace into every situation.

If someone has the C word (cancer), don't surround them with that word in your prayer. The negative situation or disease, - whatever it is, - has no business being around them. By us saying those negative words, we are bringing light to the negative, not covering it with the positive. The C word, every other disease and every other problem wants the attention, it is demanding it, but give God all the attention because he is the one who can change it If we're praying for finances, health, peace, our children, then we need to say positive things into each situation.

Again, don't go on and on about the problem. What I've learned is we shouldn't surround our children, mother, father, wife, husband or friend with the thing that is coming against them, surround them with positive words and promises of the Lord! Give God the awe in prayer over the situation.

Our prayers should be for blessings in general, for God knows best what is good for us. ~Socrates

There are so many needs in this world, it's almost overwhelming, but remember, cover it with positive prayer! Let's promise to pray positive words into these situations for each other. Let our thoughts and words be on the good things of God, the pure, the promises, and the present!

Have a wonderful day and surround someone today with the power of positive prayer!
