The difficulties of life are intended to make us better, not bitter. ~Author Unknown
Feeling alone through difficult times is a very barren feeling. We search and don't have the answer. We seek and still don't have the answer. We look and cannot see anything for us in the future, nothing looks promising. The diagnosis is not good... the rent is not paid, the relationship has gone south... These are everyday issues that each of us try to be strong through, we try to make it on our own, but that doesn’t always work. We are proud, and we've been taught we must get through this thing called life all on our own so we can say we've successfully made it.
Most of the times we do this all on our own, and alone... and then we get "alone" results.
Seek strength and do not go on this journey alone. Be strong and lean on God.
Do you want to be a stronger person, a more positive person, and a stronger person of faith? You can be! The answer is to be more dependent on God! That is not the answer you would think, is it?
We have heard since we were children, be this, be that, be good, be strong, be perfect... and only the strong survive. Those are all good motivational type words, but if we've only heard those and have not had the rest added to our life, - the truth about God, and how He works, - then we tend to go off on our own and we don't get the results of the life promised to us.
Yes, only the strong do survive, and to be STRONG you MUST be DEPENDENT on God.
If we really did that, being totally dependent on God - how much better would our life be? I do believe we make it hard for ourselves sometimes. I think we miss some of the best things by not letting go of the steering wheel in our life. We have it all planned out don't we? We own the map don't we? I just wonder what would happen, if we sat back once in a while on this cruise ship of life, and let the Master Cruise Director direct our path?
Want to be strong? Be dependent on God.
Being dependent, needing someone, receiving help, seeking help, to depend on, and to ask for support are all signs of weakness in our culture. But it is the opposite with God, to be strong, we are to be weak and depend on Him!
Try it, some of the things you are pounding your head on the wall for - may just work out, much to your surprise!
Wishing you everyday strength in God!
Be a Strong Christian, means Be more dependent on God. ~ Ginae Lee Scott
Defeat may serve as well as victory to shake the soul and let the glory out.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am
helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7
