Opened Doors

February 25, 2017

As we stroll down the path of life there are a lot of doors lining each side of our path. Some of the doors we are knocking on have never opened up, some doors have opened up right away, and then there's those doors we've been knocking on so long we've forgotten we are still standing there knocking. When walking with God on the path set out ahead of us, he will open the right doors and keep the doors that aren't for us closed. Those closed doors have discouraged most of us more than we'd like to admit, and just think, they may have stayed closed for our good. And if that is the truth of the past closed door discouragements, we can be free finally of counting those as some kind of failure we can't get over. Let it go, the door wasn't for you.

There are many doors ahead of us, many opportunities and many dreams, - lean on God and ask him to show you the door to knock on, - because it's already opened! God's doors are easily opened. Timing, prayer, and some patience may be needed, but the door opens with peace and calm direction. That still small voice is what we wait for

Knocking on and fighting with a door is usually not the right door. There's a better door! When we think we're suppose to do something, or be something, and the doors are slamming in our face, that could be a good sign we may need to look ahead and see if there's another door we're to go through.

I've experienced knocking on a door that I was positive for me. I knocked and knocked. Nothing happened. It was more than obvious I was standing and knocking on the wrong door after a space of time. But here's the thing, - I could have sworn I was where I was supposed to be. I wasn't trying to be stubborn, - it seemed so obviously right, it was so obviously wrong. My motives were right, my intensions were sincere, but it still wasn't my door. The best thing in every situation for me is that God had something better. The door he illuminated was the right door to open!

Jesus says, - I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.  John 10:9

He's the most beautiful door to open! When we pray and ask his advice on everything, he will show us the doors to open and they will open freely and easily! You can trust in that!

So, what door are you knocking on? Thanks for reading and smiles to your day,
